Training on digital education for Tsalka LAG
13.January.2020In order to support the capacity development of teachers from Tsalka Municipality, CENN, with the partnership of WYLET alumni grant “Promoting Digital Education Learning Platforms in the Mountainous Municipalities of Georgia” conducted 1-day capacity building training-workshop on digital education and online resources.
The training-workshop aimed to share the online tools and platforms which are available for teachers. Training module was designed based on American Classroom best practices.
The event was opened by Catherine Schweitzer, Deputy Ambassador and Public Affairs Officer from US Embassy Tbilisi.
Along with the training, CENN organized field visit for deputy ambassador in Santa Village Cheese Factory and in Social Enterprise “Gumbati”. After the training, coaching phase has started, which allows the teachers to exchange their ideas and activities with other 45 teachers from 3 mountainous municipalities (Mestia, Keda and Khulo) of Georgia. In total, 15 teachers were trained (14 women, 1 man).
The action was implemented within the joint initiative of US Embassy Alumni, under the Workshop for Youth Leaders in English Teaching, which is funded by US State Department and implemented by American Councils for International Education.
