4-day Trainings on Organizational Development and Preparation of Tsalka LAG self-assessment Report was Held with the EU Support
02.July.20218-11 June, 2021. Bulachauri Green Center –Within the framework of the project “EMBRACE Tsalka” supported by the EU ENPARD program, Tsalka LAG members participated in a 4-day intensive training cource on the organizational development and preparation of Tsalka LAG self-assessment report.
Tsalka LAG has been operating for the second year in a row to address local challenges in Tsalka Municipality and to implement good European practices. Providing capacity-building training and workshops for Tsalka LAG members is crucial to the LAG’s organizational development and sustainability. For this purpose, on June 8-9, Tsalka LAG members underwent organizational development and team-building training, during which participants had the opportunity to learn about interesting topics such as strategic management of the organization; Vision, mission, and values; What is management? Management skills required; Different management styles – which one is more effective?; Leader VS Manager; A brief overview of leadership theories; Pink Theory: Autonomy, Skills, Mission, and FLOW Concept – How do goals help us achieve self-realization and development?
Within the framework of the trainings, June 10-11 was dedicated to the preparation of the Tsalka LAG self-assessment report, the development of the methodology and the preparation of the final report based on the organizational strategy and action plan documents of the Tsalka Local Action Group.2
A 4-day training series and workshops proved productive for Tsalka LAG members. Based on the information received during the meetings and pieces of training, Tsalka LAG has developed a self-assessment report, which will be used as a tool to assess organizational performance in the future.
The project “EMBRACE Tsalka” is implemented under the European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD) by the organization CENN, in partnership with the Georgian Farmers’ Association (GFA) and German partner organization – Institute for Rural Development Research (IfLS).
The EU is supporting agriculture and rural development in Georgia through its ENPARD Programme. Implemented since 2013 with a total budget of EUR 179.5 million, the main goal of ENPARD is to reduce rural poverty in Georgia. The first phase of ENPARD in Georgia focused on developing the potential of agriculture.
