EU-supported Tsalka Local Action Group (LAG) Announces Photo Contest #EMBRACETsalka
29.November.2021EU-supported Tsalka Local Action Group (LAG) announces a photo contest #EMBRACETsalka for the people living in Tsalka Municipality.
The aim of the competition is to popularise Tsalka municipality’s nature as well as economic and touristic potential. Any citizen living in Tsalka Municipality can participate in the competition.
Applicants must submit their photos on the following topics:
- Environment and biodiversity
- Tsalka natural resources
- Tsalka tourist sights
- History, culture and population of Tsalka
- Daily life of Tsalka
- Rural women and youth
- History of Tsalka nature and its harmonious coexistence with humankind
- Tsalka seen with my eyes (what does Tsalka mean to me?)
- Any other topic connected to popularization of Tsalka
The photos should highlight the importance of the selected topic and the author’s vision. Eligible applicants should:
- Have desire, creativity and motivation
- Submit maximum 5 photos
- Include a brief and creative description/author’s vision
- Have a desire to join Tsalka Local Action Group
(LAG)
Any genre of photography (documentary, staged (studio only), concept photography, etc.) is eligible for the competition. Creative works are encouraged as much as possible! The competition aims to create a message that will visually fascinate and make the viewer to think.

3 winners will be revealed.
The first, second and third place winners will receive a variety of gift bags from CENN and Tsalka LAG.
Selection will be made, based on: Importance of the topic, creativity, originality and photo quality.
The project ‘Local LEADERs Embrace Sustainable Development in Multi-Ethnic Tsalka Municipality (EMBRACE Tsalka)” aims to reduce rural poverty and improve living conditions in Tsalka municipality, addressing economic, social, and environmental concerns by improving agricultural competitiveness, promoting sustainable management of natural resources, and building climate-resilient rural economies and communities. “EMBRACE Tsalka” is implemented under the European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD) by EU’s partner organization CENN, in partnership with the Georgian Farmers’ Association (GFA) and German partner organization – Institute for Rural Development Research (IfLS).
